Looking for a way to make money from home? Online internship beginning soon! Apply here to join my team!

This opportunity has seriously been a complete life-changer for me. As a stay-at-home mom, I found that while I absolutely LOVE being with my children each and everyday, I was missing something in my life.  I couldn't quite figure out what it was, because I was living the "dream" that so many mom's wish they could live. But then I realized that my entire life totally and completely revolved around them, my husband and the cleaning, cooking, folding... all of that fun stuff that comes with being a wife and stay-at-home mom (or working mom for that matter).  I wasn't taking any time to improve myself, work towards any goals of my own, or even take care of myself, physically.

I had always been pretty active when i was younger.  Working out was a part of my identity.  Setting goals and going after them was my motivation... whether it was sports-related, school-related... you name it, and I was pushing myself to achieve it!  So as a mom, all of my goals were actually now goals for my kids or goals to catch up on laundry and have a clean house.  And while those are great to have... I think we tend to neglect our own personal needs, as a mom.  We see it as being selfish, but in reality, we need to find that time for ourself!  We need to have personal goals and ambitions for ourselves... and our kids! I was losing my identity as Crystal and only living out my Mom identity! That is, until I finally agreed to try out this Beachbody Coaching Opportunity.

This opportunity has opened so many new doors for me! I've met so many new, amazing, inspiring people... I've learned to reach out and help others achieve their goals and helped other mom's just like me, find a way to get back in shape while also providing extra income for their families.  I know that was another difficult thing for me as a stay-at-home mom... was not having my own money.  Yes, I know my husband's money is my money also, but it's been such an amazing feeling to be able to earn my own spending money, or buy my kids presents on their Birthday's with money that I earned!

So this is where I'm asking you... does this sound familiar?  Or maybe it doesn't, but you'd really like a way to earn extra money from home while being your own boss and not having someone tell you what to do and when to do it.  If you're interested in learning more about this opportunity or are ready to jump in and start learning now, just fill out an application so I can get an idea of what interests you most, how I can contact you and when you're ready to get started!  I look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to find my next superstar coaches to rock this biz!

Edible Finger Paint for Kids!

Why in the world have I never thought of this before? I'm always looking up new creative recipes for finger paints that I can make for my little ones, which is safe to eat, because let's face it... if you're dealing with a little one under the age of 2... their fingers or paintbrush are going to find their way into the mouth!
So instead of making some crazy concoction with corn starch or boiling water to use jello packets, I saw these snack packs staring at me in the pantry and thought... hmmm the kids don't seem too interested in these since they've been sitting in here for weeks now... why not throw in a little food coloring and put it to good use!?
So that's exactly what I did! And while I can't get my kids to eat it out of the container... they sure were enjoying it once it was transformed into a pretty, colorful, finger paint! GENIUS! So not only did we get a little creativity and art time in today, but snack time was taken care of too! haha Just kidding!

Hope you enjoy this super-simple edible finger paint pudding recipe:

- a vanilla/tapioca pudding snack pack
- food coloring

TA DA! (and I love how the little containers are already perfect little paint containers... no work necessary here!)

Here are some other fun DIY and creative crafts to do at home with your kids:

How to stop craving sweets and junk food...easy! Drink this!

< This is what kept me from stuffing my face with those yummy St. Patrick's Day cupcakes that I made with the kids yesterday! They've been staring me down and this is the hardest time of day for me to keep from snacking on junk (between lunch and dinner), so instead I drank my chocolate Shakeology. I got in my daily vitamins, antioxidants, some fruit and veggies... fulfilled my chocolate craving and now I'm on an energy rush! I seriously love this stuff and what it does for me each day! I usually use it to replace breakfast, but today it came in handy just in time to hold me over until dinner (and save me from a tummy ache, which I know I would have had if I had given into those cupcakes!)
RECIPE:
-1 scoop/packet of Chocolate Shakeology
- 2/3 cup Coconut Milk
-1/2 cup Milk
- 5 ice cubes
- 4-5 strawberries
- 4-5 frozen chunks of pineapple
BLEND and ENJOY!

So what I want to know now, is what are some of your favorite healthy snacks to hold you over during that gap between lunch and dinner?! Is that 2 or 3 o' clock time right around that time when you find yourself pretty exhausted? I'd love to hear some other people's suggestions and struggles with this!

The 40 Day Challenge -- Lent Edition!

So, as a Christian and Catholic, today is a significant day! Today is Ash Wednesday, which marks the first day or the start of Lent.  Lent is the 40 days (excluding Sundays) before Easter, where Christians prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ through fasting, repentance, prayer and spiritual discipline.

Not only are you supposed to give up meat on Fridays throughout these 40 days, but many people find something else in their life to "give up" for the next 40 days. Usually people choose something like drinking soda, eating sweets or cursing.  Kind of like a short-term new year's resolution...

Well, while quitting something is great and I totally encourage it, I wanted to give you guys another option for the next 40 days!  How about rather than quitting something, you do something positive for someone else or even yourself each day for the next 40 days!?  How about doing a random act of kindness for someone everyday and in return, maybe just asking them to do the same for someone else?  There are 2 ways you can use the chart that I made, below.

Option #1: You can fill it out with 40 positive things that you want to complete over the course of the next 40 days and cross them off as you go (no particular order)
OR
Option #2: You can decide what it is you would like to do each day and write it down once you've completed that act of kindness for the day.

If you'd like some ideas, here is a list of over 100 random acts of kindness that you could do for others!
If you have some that you would like to add to the list, feel free to comment below and I can add it to my list!

And lastly, please feel free to share with everyone as you go through the next 40 days! Simply use hash-tag #LentFor40 to share on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter! Pass on this message, tag your friends and watch your small act of kindness touch others and spread the love!
