Fun, cheap and easy! DIY Dr. Seuss T-shirt!

...And no, I'm not referring to myself on date night with the hubby after a few Margaritas on the rocks...  although I suppose it holds some truth (minus the cheap part anyway).  We pay $15 an hour for our babysitter, so after paying for dinner, drinks and the babysitter, we can't afford another date night out until the next pay day.  But now I'm getting way off topic...

So I haven't blogged in a while since life with 3 little ones has kept me quite busy, and honestly, I am not so good at typing with the iPad that I most often use now.  My laptop is about to bite the dust and is slower than my two-year-old trying to put his shoes on, so I've just been lazy and too impatient to type if you want the truth.  But I now have this cool little bluetooth keyboard that is also an iPad cover, so my problem is solved! (except my son dropped the iPad this morning and cracked the screen in 3 places, but oh-fricken-well... I guess that's what I get for letting my 2 and 5-year-olds play with my expensive toys).  Once again, I've managed to get off topic... Can we say ADD?

So here is a FUN, CHEAP & EASY little DIY activity to do with your little ones at home this summer!  If you're like me, you are constantly trying to find ways to entertain the little ones for more than 5 minutes at a time, and this will surely do it!  I went to Wal-Mart (even though I cannot STAND this place and have sworn numerous times that I will never step foot in there again) and they had a package of 8 plain white kids' tees on sale for like $8, then I bought the fabric markers from the craft department ($12 for a pack of 12) and a few puff paints (not required).  So for about $20, you can have days worth of fun (either in the sun) or on a rainy day, and unique, one of a kind t-shirts for your kids to wear and show off their creativity!  I also saw on Pinterest where you can use Sharpies and add alcohol to give it a neat effect! (maybe that will be my next post)

So good luck, have fun, be creative and post pictures for us to see what fun artwork you and your kids come up with!
