FREE Insanity MAX:30 Cardio Challenge Workout Preview

I could go on and on, but ya know what...I make TIME to workout just 30 minutes a day (usually with my kids jumping in circles around me), in my fairly small living room and I have chosen to make a career from home by simply doing my very best to inspire others along my journey and help people like YOU figure out where to start and how to accomplish your own health and fitness goals!!

Healthy Breakfast Cookie Recipe: Peanut Butter and Banana Cookies!

I totally ate cookies for breakfast!! BUT, the GOOD NEWS is: They were HEALTHY cookies (much healthier than your usual cookie anyway)  I found this awesome recipe for a yummy peanut butter and banana breakfast cookie!  (theirs includes a couple extra ingredients that I left out, but they are still pretty darn good!! Especially with my hot cup of morning coffee!)

With wholesome ingredients like oats, whole wheat flour, Greek yogurt, banana and peanut butter, you can even start the day with one of these delicious cookies! But they taste so delicious you can still serve them for dessert. Get creative with mix ins, they would be great with different chocolate chips, nuts or even dried fruit mixed in.

  • 2 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup of butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (I used vanilla flavor)
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or No-Nut butter if you have nut allergies)
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet or dark can also be used)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a food processor (or mixer) combine softened butter, Greek yogurt, peanut butter and banana and puree or mix until well combined. Add in vanilla and eggs and mix well.
In a separate bowl combine flour, oats, salt, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
In a large bowl, combine wet and dry ingredients as well as your chocolate chips and stir until just combined.
Scoop or spoon cookie dough, approximately two tablespoons per cookie, onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 11-13 minutes or until lightly browned on.
Store in an airtight container. I prefer to keep a few on hand in the refrigerator and store the rest in zipper style freezer bags in the freezer. You can pull them out the night before to thaw, or just pop them into the microwave for a few seconds to defrost. Enjoy

Insanity MAX:30 Day 1 INSANITY is right! Even Shaun T MAX'ed OUT!

I wanted a challenge...and believe me...I GOT it today!! My first day doing the new Insanity MAX:30 cardio workout and 7:55 into the 30 minute workout, I MAX'ed out!! Meaning, I pushed myself as hard as I could (I refused to follow the modifier because I'm stubborn like that) and at almost 8 minutes in, I had to stop to breath for a minute before I could push myself to get back into it!!

I love the concept behind this program because it forces you to DIG DEEP and PUSH not only your body, but your internal strength as well! How bad do you want that extra second or that extra minute? It's a mind over matter challenge just as much as a physical one for me! Because in all honesty, how many times to we give up on something a bit prematurely? And I'm not just talking about with fitness! Think about all the situations where we could have probably stuck it out just a little bit longer and finished stronger?! 

This could apply to:

*your job
*a relationship
*a goal that you're trying to reach
...LIFE in General!

So I guess the motivational point if this post is to NEVER give up!! If you really want something, whether it be to fix a marriage, or get a promotion at work...just DON'T give up when you know that you could push and try even just a tiny bit harder! Because it's that little bit extra that you put in after you THINK you've reached your maximum threshold, that will make all the difference in the world! 

PS- Back to the workout aspect of things--I don't think I'm going to be able to walk tomorrow! My calves are super sore already! But I LOVE it! ‪#‎max30‬‪#‎insanitymax30‬

Learning Shapes Activity for Preschoolers! Fun with Penguins!

I was searching for some fun, learning activities for my toddler and preschooler to do at home and ran across this super-cute penguin SHAPES activity!  It was fun and the kids got to practice their cutting skills, recognize different shapes, colors and counting!  We also got to talk about where penguins live and what kind of temperatures they need!

Need Support And Accountability to Lose Weight the Healthy Way?

Okay, so as uncomfortable as it is to share before and after photos, I've realized that sometimes it's when we step outside of our own comfort zone that we are able to make the biggest impact on other people's lives. So if sharing my post-pregnancy fitness journey and my results thus far can have an impact on just 1 other person out there and give them the confidence to reach out to me for my help in reaching their own goals, then I've achieved something huge in my eyes!

After my pregnancy, I felt great, but obviously with getting a c-section it definitely took a toll on my tummy! In my before picture, my muscles were still sore, I still felt bloated and my goal was to SEE MY ABS again by the end of my 10 week Focus T25 program! And sure enough, just by making healthy decisions and working out 25 minutes a day, 5 days a week, I was able to reach my goal! And to be honest, I probably couldn't have done it without the support and accountability of my fellow challengers in my private online group!! With 4 kids, I've found that it's VERY EASY to come up with excuses not to workout, but the reality is... ANYONE can find 30 minutes out of a 24 hour day to workout... it's just whether you make that a priority or not.

So this is where I'm inviting YOU to join me as I start my next fitness program starting on December 1st!! Super Healthy Lunch and Snack Idea that will also Satisfy that Sweet Tooth: Banana Split Shakeology Recipe

Want to know how you can have a Banana Split Shake for LUNCH and actually be boosting your body full of antioxidants, pre and probiotics, and fueling up with something super-healthy that can not only help you boost your metabolism and lose weight, but can also satisfy those sweet cravings? 

Well, I'm just going to cut to the chase here and give you the amazing recipe that I use.  It's awesome, because I throw in a scoop of my Shakeology and it's no longer just a shake, but it counts as one of my 5-6 small meals a day from my 21 Day Fix diet plan (which isn't a diet at all, by the way! It's more like, eating all day long, but it shows you exactly what foods are clean and acceptable and gives you cute little portion control containers to use multiple times throughout the day, so you know you're getting exactly the right proportions.

So, here's my secret banana split shake recipe that will give you more nutrients than a daily multivitamin would:


* 1 scoop of chocolate Shakeology
* 1/2 frozen banana
* 2-3 strawberries
* 1/4 cup of pineapple (or 2 rings)
* 1 cup water (regular or coconut water if you prefer
* ice to taste!

*For my 21 Day Fixers, this equals 1 red & 1 purple! And I sometimes throw in a little nonfat vanilla greek yogurt to give it that thick, creamy milkshake feel, and it will count as another red container.

Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Over Ric


Delicious and creamy chicken and broccoli that you can easily throw into the crockpot that the entire family will love!  
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 14oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 14 oz can cheddar soup
  • 14 oz can chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 Cup sour cream
  • 1 12 oz frozen bag broccoli florets or 4 cups fresh broccoli lightly steamed
  • 1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
  1. Spray crockpot with cooking spray and put cream of chicken soup, cheddar soup, chicken broth, salt, cajun seasoning, and garlic salt into the crockpot. Stir the soups and seasonings together until smooth. Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high 3 hours. The last 30 minutes of cooking, shred the chicken with two forks and add the broccoli, sour cream, and cheese. Cook for about 30 more minutes until the broccoli is tender and heated through.
  3. Serve over white rice and garnish with more shredded cheese if desired.

Healthy Grilled Chicken Salad Recipe -- 21 Day Fix Approved

You know why I love the 21 Day Fix so much?? Because it's not a DIET! You EAT all day long!! It's just all about eating the right foods and the right portions! The little containers are so helpful (and not to mention adorable!)  And I don't have to stress about whether or not I'm getting in enough greens, fruits, proteins, or fats everyday because it's literally laid out for you according to your BMI.

It does take some prepping and getting used to if you aren't used to doing that kind of thing, but it's such a fun and easy thing to learn and I love to help my newbies get the hang of it!  After a while, it becomes second nature (or your new lifestyle, which is how I like to put it).

This is just ONE example of one of my favorite meals! I love experimenting and coming up with new food creations and using my containers to fit certain types of foods into meals that I would have never been creative enough to think of before trying this program!  The awesome part is, the program also comes with 7 different 30 minute workouts (including cardio, pilates, yoga, upper/lower fix, etc), an online support and accountability group, a month's worth of Shakeology and me as your FREE online coach to help guide you to reach your weight loss, health and fitness goals... no matter how big or small they may be.

Need Support, Motivation and Accountability to Lose Weight & Get Healthy!? Let Me Be Your Free Online Coach!

As a busy mom and wife, the STRUGGLE is REAL!!! I know that you are being pulled in a million different directions and the last thing that you want to worry about is what you are eating and when you are fitting in your workout.
You aren't getting enough sleep, the kids are misbehaving and they won't eat anything that resembles a vegetable. Believe me... Don't Feel Like Working Out? Can't Find Time? Need Accountability? My Advice 3 Months Post Partum:

What is your #1 reason that you don't workout regularly or can't seem to stick to a workout program, gym routine or whatever you have tried to do for regular exercise?

B. no accountability (I need someone who will make me feel like I have to do it and stick with it everyday)

I know what I always struggled with most, in the past was B (accountability!!!). I grew up doing gymnastics and cheerleading and had pretty strict coaches who were ALWAYS pushing me, testing me, checking up in my progress (or lack of it at times) and once I had kids and was on my own, I found it hard to motivate myself to workout regularly, because there was absolutely no one that I had to check in with or be held accountable to... No one would even know if I got my workout in or skipped it each day, except for myself...

That is why I LOVE having my challengers join me on this journey of mine!! They hold me just as accountable as I hold them! Today was one of those days where I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, it was rainy (for like the 5th day in a row!) and I knew all day I just wasn't going to be able to find the motivation to push play and workout!

But then I began to see all of my challengers posting their sweaty workout pics or just saying how great they felt that they got their workout in for the day and I could t be the one to have to post and tell them that I just couldn't fit my workout in today!

So at 7pm, I put in my T25 DVD, gave it my all and was so proud if myself afterwards! I told my group that I almost skipped today, but I didn't want to let them down!!

Okay, so that's my rant for the night!! I'm all pumped up now and feeling accomplished! It's the little things...

How to Succeed at Your Goals and Dreams -- Personal Development

Which one should I read first?? 

I am becoming a personal development addict! Which is an amazing thing!! I am learning so much and growing as an individual, a mother, a wife and a leader!!

As a Beachbody Coach, I take my job very seriously! I have people relying on me to help them achieve some serious goals!! Some people come into this health & fitness journey and are just looking to lose the last 10-15 pounds of baby weight, while others have struggled with some severe health issues due to their unhealthy lifestyles, watched family members suffer from poor health choices and not only want to make a change, but know that they NEED to!!

And I'm going to be up front and completely honest here... the hardest part of coaching for me is seeing the potential in someone, knowing that they could completely do a 180 and become that healthy, happy, active person that they dream and wish to be everyday, but hearing them make excuse after excuse of why they won't or can't change just kills me!

Sound familiar to any of you out there? Do you find yourself constantly THINKING or WISHING you were thinner, healthier, happier, or more energetic? Well guess what??!! I have the answer for you on how you can do that:

One of the main things that I've taken away from my personal development is that YOU and only YOU are in complete control over your life and the decisions that you make! No one can make you depressed or unhealthy, no one can tell you what you choose to spend your money on, YOU decide every single day what your priorities are in life and you CHOOSE to make excuses in certain areas of your life, because let's face's a whole lot easier to do, right?

But the truth is...when you decide that you're in complete control of your life and the choices you make and are sick and tired of your own excuses, then that is when the magic happens!!

You can do whatever you put your mind to! So, don't you ever forget that!!

Tomorrow is a brand new day, so wake up with a brand new mindset! Set some positive goals and start making progress towards the YOU that you wish to be!
