Unfortunately I am using this same bad habit with my wedding planning and it is stressing me out, big time! I have decided that from this point on, now that I am getting down the the final months of planning, I must make to-do lists for myself. I have always loved making lists when I have a lot going on, mostly because of the feeling of accomplishment I get when I check an item off my list. Shoot, I even get excited when I remember everything on my grocery list! (I'm a little weird, I know!)
So for that extra little push that I think I need for myself, I am going to post my to-do list for tomorrow on here. That way, I'll have to get it all done and scratched off the list, or else you guys will know how worthless I've been throughout the day! So here goes nothing:
TO DO LIST FOR MONDAY, APRIL 11, 2011:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-Decide on readings for wedding
Okay, I think that's enough for tomorrow! If I get all of this done, I will be happy! And while we're at it, let's go ahead and do a to-do list for Tuesday also!
TO-DO LIST FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 12 2011:
-
-
-Send out invitations in the mail! WOO HOO!
-
Okay! That's good for now! Now I'm getting stressed just thinking of all the things I have to do this week! Now I just need to get to bed so I can actually function tomorrow!
Good luck with your to-do list! I'm a terrible procrastinator, too. I'm still amazed I made it through college. 10-15 page research due next week? I can do it the night before, right?
ReplyDeleteI keep saying I should start a Procrastinators Anonymous group, but hey, there's always next week for that... ;-p
Great post and blog. I found your blog on SocialMoms. Please check out mines.:)
ReplyDeleteI am so motivated if I know I don't HAVE to do something as soon as there is any outward pressure in the form of a deadline - even a loose one - hello mega-procrastination! Very frustrating... Good luck with the wedding they're tough to organise.
ReplyDeleteFound you on Social Moms, check out my blog if you have a second
